GETTING STARTED

User instructions

For the owner

  1. Sign in to the private Access Console.
  2. Choose one person or a batch, enter each contact email, and set the licensed iPhone count.
  3. Create and privately send each person’s link. It expires after 72 hours and works once.
  4. Use the directory to see Invited or Activated status, change device limits, disable access, or revoke a lost iPhone.
  5. Use Delete only when the profile, invitations, licenses, and Apple-linked app account should be permanently removed.

Activated people do not need another link for an additional iPhone within their limit; they use the same Apple Account.

For an invited user

  1. Install the app on the intended iPhone.
  2. Open the personal invitation on that iPhone and allow it to open FTC Driver Station.
  3. Tap Continue with Apple. Share My Email and Hide My Email are both supported.
  4. Enter full name, team number, role, and optional organization.
  5. Review and accept Privacy and Terms.
  6. Request Local Network permission on the welcome screen.
  7. Join the Control Hub Wi-Fi and open Driver Station.

Troubleshooting

Expired or used link: ask the owner for a new link. Not activated: open the invitation first or use the Apple Account linked during activation. Device limit: ask the owner to revoke an old device or increase the limit. No Local Network alert: enable FTC Driver Station in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. Robot disconnected: check Control Hub Wi-Fi, Local Network permission, VPN settings, and Robot Controller status; Apple authentication does not itself connect the robot.

Privacy and deletion

Robot commands and telemetry remain on the local robot network in this design. To request access, correction, or deletion of authentication and licensing data, email solonascharalampouss@gmail.com.
